2024年7月19日に発生したWindowsブルースクリーン障害（BSoD）の余波が完全には収束していません。全世界で同時に発生し約850万台のWindows PCに影響を及ぼしたのみならず、Windowsベースの商用システムにも波及し、フライト運行システムが停止して空港で足止めされるニュース映像がテレビに流れるなど、社会的にも大きな問題として捉えられています。

私を含め当社では影響なく、当日も普段どおりにPCを使って業務をしており、世間の”ブルスク祭り”を早い復旧を祈りながら見守っていました。報道に触れてCitrixの影響範囲を整理し、改めて仮想アプリケーション、仮想デスクトップ（今回はまとめてVDIと総称）の有効性を考えてみました。

当社ではなぜ影響を回避できたのか？
CrowdStrikeのアップデートが原因とされ、Windows OSが異常を検知したことでPCの通常操作ができなくなった訳ですが、当社ではCrowdStrikeを使っておらず障害は発生しませんでした。仮に発生したとしても、障害が発生していない別のデバイスからVDIに接続すれば、通常の自分用Windowsデスクトップが利用できます。パニックに陥る必要はありません。管理者側で復旧対応が可能です。
今回のBSoDは不幸な障害ですが、これもビジネス継続性計画（BCP）で想定される範囲の事象といえるでしょう。VDIはBCPに効くのです。

VDIの仕組みとアドバンテージ
物理PCではOS、ユーザープロファイル、アプリケーション、データが同じPCという環境にあり、相互に連携して業務処理を行います。下図で示す利用環境と実行環境が同じ（= PC）です。
VDIではOS, プロファイル、アプリケーション、データを物理PCから分離し、クラウドまたはデータセンターで動的に構成します。仮想デスクトップあるいは仮想PCと呼ばれる環境がクラウド/データセンターに用意される（= クラウドまたはデータセンターでPCが起動する）と、その画面イメージを利用環境へ転送します。

ユーザーは手元にある任意のデバイス画面で転送された画面イメージを表示し、キーボード、マウス、トラックパッドを使い、通常のPCと同じように操作します。

実行環境での各構成要素をいかに効率よく必要数を構成するか、画面イメージ転送のパフォーマンスをいかに高めるかが、シトリックスのノウハウでありアドバンテージです。

いつでもどこにいてもPC環境につながり業務を遂行できること、セキュリティを含めたPC端末のメンテナンスの大部分がセンター側に集約されることで、ユーザー生産性とIT管理性が両立します。

先日聞いたお客様の言葉、「6万台あまりのPCメンテナンスが本当にラク。セキュリティチームはVDIが最強と言っている」はリアリティがあります。

VDIならブルースクリーン障害（BSoD）は回避できたか？
Windows Server上でさまざまな仕組みを展開することから、CrowdStrikeも利用する環境であれば今回の障害の影響を受けた可能性がありますが、Citrix Cloudのサービスには影響ありません。
Cirix DaaSのお客様でWorkspaceやGateway Serviceを経由して利用するお客様は、自社内のインフラ（Active Directory, Cloud Connectorなど）を確認してください。
一方、オンプレミスでお客様自身（インテグレータ等に委託することを含む）が管理・運用する場合は、以下のコンポーネントを順番に確認してください。

Cloud Connector
StoreFrontワークロードとWorkspaceワークロードの両方で、ユーザーログインやリソース提示に問題が発生する可能性があります。

Delivery Controller
ユーザーログインやリソース提示に問題が発生する可能性があります。

VDA
アプリケーションやデスクトップを起動できない可能性があります。

StoreFront
ユーザーはStoreFrontのURLにアクセスできず、目的のアプリケーションやデスクトップを選択できない可能性があります。

現在多くのお客様に仮想アプリケーション/仮想デスクトップをご利用いただいており、その環境はオンプレミス (XenApp and XenDesktopやCitrix Virtual Apps and Desktops(以下CVAD))、クラウドサービス(以下 Citrix DaaS)のどちらかで構成されているかと思います。

このうちCitrix Virtual Apps and Desktopsについては、LTSR(長期サービスリリース)の最新版となる2203 LTSRが今年3月にリリースされ、この製品は2027年3月までサポートされます。また、今月15日(2022/8/15)には弊社XenApp and XenDesktop 7.15LTSRがEOL(製品終了)と大きな節目を迎えています。

本ブログではこれらの節目にあたりCitrix Virtual Apps and Desktops製品のアップグレード・移行を実施する際に必要となる考慮事項を以下の流れでまとめています

1．目的の明確化

2．移行先の選択（オンプレかクラウドか）

3．オンプレミス環境でのアップグレード方式との考慮点（2つの方式の違い）

4．追加要件の検討（移行のタイミングで実現したいこと）

1. 目的の明確化

まずは、アップグレード・移行の目的を明確にすることが重要です。ほとんどの場合、製品のライフサイクルに合わせてサポータブルな状態を維持することに主眼を置くケースが多いと思います。

• 弊社製品だけでなく、利用されているハードウェアのサポート終了時期が明確になった
• 仮想リソースとして提供しているアプリケーション/サービスやOSのサポート終了時期が近くなった

これに加えてアップグレード・移行のタイミングで同時に実現したいことを整理/要件化することは非常に大事なことですし、絶好の機会となります。

この段階でアップグレード、要件追加などをまとめた目的を明確にしておかないと、将来のIT投資計画がずれてしまう恐れがあります。そのため、計画を明確にし、予算枠の確保/承認を取り付ける、そして会社を動かす目的でお客様社内の関係者みなさまのコンセンサスをとるためにも、このプロセスは非常に重要です。

2．移行先の選択

多くの企業や組織は自社のゼロトラストセキュリティ基盤をベースに、高度な認証とアクセス管理ソリューションを導入しています。

Citrix Workspaceは Azure Active DirectoryやOkta、またCitrix GatewayやStoreFrontを介してSAMLやRADIUSなどに対応する認証ソリューションと認証統合することができます。

Citrix CloudネイティブでのSAMP2.0サポート

今回の注目ポイントはCitrix CloudネイティブでSAML2.0をサポートしたことです（2021年3月末現在Tech Preview）。これまで必要だったCitrix GatewayやStoreFrontなど追加コンポーネントが不要になり、よりシンプルにSAML2.0対応の認証ソリューションと認証統合ができるようになりました。

百聞は一見にしかず、動作の様子を見てみましょう。

このデモではSAML2.0のIDPとしてGoogle Identity Platformを使います。更にWindows仮想デスクトップに対してSSOを実現するためにCitrix Federated Authentication Service（以下FAS）を有効にしています。

1. Citrix Workspaceにアクセスします。

2. IDPにリダイレクトされるので、IDPのアカウントで認証します。

3. 仮想デスクトップを起動します。

4. FASが有効な為、仮想デスクトップにシングルサインオンします。

参考までにWindows版Workspace Appのから認証する場合はこのような動きになります。

働き方が変化している昨今、増加するリモートアクセス需要にシンプルに対応することが可能な二要素認証のご紹介です。

セキュリティ強化の為に当たり前になりつつある二要素認証、様々なSaaSアプリを利用する上で何がしかの認証を求められたことがある方が多いかと思います。一要素目でID/パスワードを入力し、一要素目と異なる二要素目の情報を合わせて入力することで、より高いセキュリティを担保します。

一言に二要素認証と言っても、生体認証、ハードウェアトークンやスマートフォンのauthenticatorアプリを利用したOTP認証、または”秘密の質問”に回答する知識認証など、多様な方法が利用可能であるためそれぞれの特徴を理解して要件に見合う実現方法を選択することが重要です。

今回ご紹介させていただくのはCitrix ADC (Citrix Gateway)とSMS送信サービスをAPI連携させるSMS-OTP (ワンタイムパスワード)認証です。

Citrix ADCを使用したSMS-OTP認証の特徴は以下です。

・Citrix ADCがOTPを生成する

・スマートフォン、携帯電話にてSMSを受信できれば利用可能

・ユーザーのスマートフォン等にOTP用アプリのインストールが不要 (MDMの考慮も必要なし)

・必要なコンポーネントが少ないため比較的短期間で導入可能

・API連携可能なSMS送信サービスの準備が必要

Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktopsへのリモートアクセス時の認証を説明します。

1. ユーザーがCitrix ADC (Citrix Gateway)にアクセスしユーザー名とPWを入力します。
2. Citrix ADCはActive Directory (AD)にLDAP認証を試みます。資格情報を検証するとともに、mobile属性からユーザーの携帯電話番号(SMS送信先)の取得を試みます。説明ではオンプレミスのADを想定していますが、Azure Active Directory及びAzure AD Domain Servicesを使用したLDAP認証と電話番号取得も可能です。いずれの認証においても予め電話番号を登録しておくことが必要になります。
3. LDAP認証に成功すると、ADは電話番号をCitrix ADCに連携します。

はじめまして、Citrixコンサルティングサービスの衛藤と申します。

このBlogを読んでいただいている企業さまの中には、従業員に支給しているパソコンをよりセキュアに利用させるため、証明書を内蔵したスマートカードを使って、支給パソコンのWindowsへログオンを行っている、というケースがあるかと思います。

万が一パソコンが第三者の手に渡ったとしても、社員が携帯する物理的なスマートカードを挿入しない限りWindowsへのログオンができないため、IDとパスワードを使った認証方式より更に強固なセキュリティが期待できる仕組みです。

実際にユーザーがWindowsへログオンを行うときは、物理カードを挿入した上で、予め設定を行ったPINの入力を行うことで、パソコンを利用することが可能となります。

今回のBlogでは、Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops環境において、そのようなスマートカードを利用したシングルサインオン（パススルー認証）について整理していきます。

まず、CitrixのVirtual Apps and Desktopsによる仮想化環境を導入した場合、ユーザーによる認証作業は一般的に以下の3回必要です。

1回目：クライアント端末(パソコン)へのログオン

2回目：

I.社内ネットワークからアクセスする場合：StoreFrontへのログオン

II.社外ネットワークからアクセスする場合：Citrix Gatewayへのログオン

3回目：仮想リソースを起動する際に行われる、仮想側Windowsへのログオン

※2回目の認証の際、アクセス元が社内ネットワーク経由か社外ネットワーク経由かによって、アクセスして認証を行うコンポーネントが異なります。本Blogではパススルー認証の検証を行うのが趣旨であり、社内ネットワークからのアクセスを前提としているため、シンプルなStoreFrontの構成を採用します。そのためCitrix Gatewayは対象外です。

これら３回のログオンを毎回ユーザーが手動で行うのは煩雑となるため、クライアント端末へのログオンを一度行うだけで、あとの2回目、3回目の認証は不要とする、パススルー認証を実現することが理想です。

また、Windowsのログオンにスマートカードを利用するために、Active Directoryのユーザープロパティーの設定で「対話型ログオン時にはスマートカードが必要」を有効としている場合があります。このときCitrixの仮想デスクトップや仮想アプリケーション(以下、仮想リソース)をユーザーが起動して利用する際の3回目の認証にもスマートカードが必要となる点が特に考慮すべきポイントとなります。

ここまでに記載した考慮点を踏まえて、スマートカードをご利用になる環境ではシングルサインオンとしての「パススルー認証」をどのように実現できるのか、検証結果をまとめていきます。

※本記事の結果は、弊社が準備を行った以下の環境により確認がとれた結果です。実際にご利用になる環境やスマートカードの種類などによって結果の差異が考えられるため、導入前には入念なPoCの実施を強く推奨致します。

Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktopsでは、言語やプラットフォームなど、ユーザーやIT管理者の要件に対応するために、キーボードや入力システム（IME）に関連する豊富な構成が提供されています。ただし、Citrix WorkspaceアプリのさまざまなクライアントやOSプラットフォームなどの要因により、キーボードとIMEを正しく構成することが難しい場合があります。

この記事では、さまざまな展開シナリオに従ってキーボードとIMEを正しく構成する方法について説明します。「キーボード」という用語は、「キーボードレイアウト」のほか、101キーボード、103キーボード、106キーボードなどの物理キーボードにも使用していますので注意してください。

キーボード同期モード

Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktopsは、クライアント側のキーボードとVDA側のキーボードの両方をサポートしています。よくある問題が1つありますが、それは何でしょうか？それは、どちら側のキーボードが適用されるかという問題です。基本的なルールは次のとおりです：

1. クライアントがWindows向けCitrix Workspaceアプリの場合、VDA側のキーボードが適用されます。
2. クライアントがWindows以外（Mac、Linux、iOS、またはAndroid）のCitrix Workspaceアプリの場合、クライアント側のキーボードが適用されます。
3. ルール#1または#2が機能しない場合、構成が正しくないか、Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktopsがそのタイプのシナリオをサポートしていない可能性があります。このような場合は、 Citrixカスタマーサービスにお問い合わせください。

よくあるもう1つの問題は、ユーザーがセッションにログインまたは再接続するときにVDA側で設定されるキーボードのタイプです。クライアントのキーボードレイアウトを使用していますか？クライアントのキーボードレイアウトを使用していない場合、どのキーボードレイアウトが使用されていますか？これは、キーボード同期モードの設定によって異なります。Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktopsでは、次の4つのキーボード同期モードをサポートしています：

1. VDAへのログインまたは再接続時にVDA側のデフォルトキーボードを使用する：クライアントがAndroid向けCitrix WorkspaceアプリとiOS向けCitrix Workspaceアプリの場合のデフォルト設定です。この設定は、StoreFrontのクライアント構成ファイルまたはicaファイルを使用して構成できます。クライアント側でのキーボードレイアウトの変更は、セッションではVDA側に同期されません。
2. VDAへのログインまたは再接続時に特定のキーボードを使用する：VDAへのログインまたは再接続時に、StoreFrontのクライアント構成ファイルまたはicaファイルを使用して特定のキーボードレイアウトを構成できます。クライアント側でのキーボードレイアウトの変更は、セッションではVDA側に同期されません。
3. VDAへのログインまたは再接続時にのみVDA側のキーボードをクライアントのデフォルトキーボードと同期する：クライアントがWindows、Mac、またはLinux向けCitrix Workspaceアプリの場合のデフォルト設定です。クライアント側でのキーボードレイアウトの変更は、セッションでVDA側に同期されません。
